- British Masters is a national event and for the last year is being held in Manchester. It is mixed and provides a great opportunity to excel. We should be able to get men and women's relay teams entered. Let Rob know you have registered.

- EuroGames Barcelona 2008 @ Olympic Park Barcelona, Barcelona
- A large EuroGames this year with 28 sports and 2 days of swimming, for up to 5,000 athletes. It promises to be quite an occasion! If you have missed registration it will be worth coming along as a Northern Wave supporter, to motivate our team. Alternatively try a new sport e.g. athletics?

- Northern Wave 10th Anniversary Swim @ Manchester Aquatics Centre
- Northern Wave's 10th anniversary short course swimming competition takes part as part of Pride Games 2008. There will be a separate warm up pool and a wide audience is expected - should be great fun!
You can enter up to 5 races. There will be food included and na new system in place for results and medal awards. A fun is included.

- One of the largest and most successful LGBT swimming and water polo clubs in Europe. For all levels of ability, from beginners and improvers through to masters. A friendly bunch with regular social events, great coaching, overseas trips and a nice atmosphere. The sky's the limit!

- Manchester Sharks Water Polo Club @ Miles Platting Pools and Fitness Centre
- Manchester's top LGB water polo team. Internationally renowned and a great bunch of people. Lots of training opportunities and now in the water polo league. There are plenty of swim training opportunities to be had with Northern Wave. If you can tread water for more than a minute, swim reasonably confidently and want to play water polo, then The Sharks would love to meet you. - Northern Wave Sunday night swim training @ Manchester Aquatics Centre
- Sunday sessions offer 50m competition pool, 6ft deep all over and two coaches for 1.5 hours. High performance coaching for competition preparation and improvers coaching for other swimmers. You need to be able to swim a bit before coming to this session, but we can help you develop new strokes, swim better and get fitter. Following each session swimmers will often go for a drink to Taurus Bar No1 Canal Street.
