who can swim?

All levels of ability are welcome, from can barely swim at all, to budding Olympians. This is where we will hold our international swimming tournaments and we train in the Training Pool directly below - a fantastic 4 lane 50m pool.

The pool in view is the main 50m pool and there is a 25m 6 lane diving pool next to it.

 Competing for Northern Wave

Northern Wave is affiliated to the ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) which is affiliated to FINA, the international swimming body. To get a Masters Licence number, you will need to buy a Temporary membership of the ASA or join Northern Wave and become a Masters swimmer. Contact  

Social Events for Members & Friends

After both swimming sessions, most members go to Taurus, No1 Canal Street, for a drink. We go to Taurus because they support us throughout the year and you’re very welcome to join in. Each Tuesday Taurus generously provide sandwiches for hungry swimmers.
