Why ground-breaking?

It will be the first ever lesbian and bisexual women's swimming event to be run in the UK, and only the second ever to be held in Europe (the other was in Germany over 3 years ago).
It combines an international standard swimming meet in a newly refurbished 25m pool, with a varied selection of enjoyable social events:

• Welcome party on the Friday.
• Swimming competition on Saturday.
• Women's celebration party.
• Club night at Bollox (mixed gender).
• A relaxed Sunday brunch.
• A Sunday afternoon film showing of Training Rules, to highlight the destructive effect of homophobia within sport.

(* Please note that we have managed to keep the price so affordable because we have received funding from the European Commission in recognition of this being a unique event, and to allow as many people to participate as possible).

Non-participants will receive a goodie bag, brunch and free entry to Wamm party and club night at Bollox.

Due to the exceptionally low registration fee for the event, unfortunately there is no discount available for people who cannot attend brunch or other parts of the event.
